BSFM is a not for profit, Christian faith based organization built for the purposes of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and discipling through the teachings of His Holy Bible.

We believe...

There is only one true God, who is the Creator of all things.  He has many names, all of which can be found throughout the 24 books of the Jewish Bible (Tanach) and the 66 books of the Christian Bible (which includes the Tanach).  One of these names is YHWH, or I AM.  He exists outside of all creation, and He existed in perfect oneness with Himself before we (human beings) were created.  He is self-sufficient (needing nothing and no one), all powerful, all knowing, and is everywhere at all times.  He is never changing, always good, and everlasting.  His love endures forever.

{Please see: Deuteronomy 4:35, 39; Deuteronomy 6:4; Genesis 1:1; Colossians 1:16; Psalm 90:2; Psalm 50:10-12; Psalm 147:5; Isaiah 40:28; Revelation 1:8; John 1:1; Hebrews 13:8; James 1:7; Psalm 136:1}

YHWH is one God, yet He is known in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  Though they are one, at the same time they are different expressions.  This is called a "mystery", which in a Biblical sense means, "a truth that human beings cannot understand without God revealing it".  Each person of the triune God has a different function.

{Please see: Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:6; John 10:30; John 14:16-17; John 14:26}

The second person of the triune YHWH, the Son, came to Earth as a human being.  He came because humanity has been separated from the presence of God since the first human beings were created.  Man was given free will, and made the choice not to follow God's instructions, causing creation and humanity to come into a fallen state.  The only way to restore man to the Father was through a sacrifice to pay for man's sin.  The only sacrifice worthy and able to cover all of mankind, from the beginning to the end and permanently, was the sinless and perfect Son.  He lived a perfect life, sinless and blameless.  He died a criminal's death on a cross.  This was the price for our collective sin.  The son of God's name is Jesus, or Yeshua.  He is called the Christ, or Messiah.

{Please see: John 1:1-2; 1 John 4:14; Romans 5:12; Genesis 3:1-24; Romans 3:23; 1 Corinthians 15:22; Romans 6:23; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 John 3:5; Philippians 2:8; Matthew 1:20-21; Matthew 1:16; John 4:25-26}

After Jesus was killed on the cross (crucified), He was laid in a tomb.  He was in the tomb for three days, and on the third day He rose to life again.  This is the resurrection.  He was witnessed by many after he rose to life.  After 40 days on the Earth after the resurrection event, He ascended again into Heaven and the accounts of these things are in the Gospel books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.  After ascending into Heaven, He left us the gift of His Holy Spirit, who is active in all believers to this day.

{Please see: Matthew 27:59-61; 1 Corinthians 15:4; Acts 1 & 2}

We also believe that God still works by His Holy Spirit through believers to bring about supernatural changes in behavior and thinking called "fruit" (Galatians 5:22-23).  The Holy Spirit points people to the love, power, and reality of God through spiritual gifts in His people (1 Corinthians 12).  We believe in speaking in Heavenly tongues (Mark 16:17), divine healing, the casting out and deliverance from demons and principalities, and breaking of all curses by the anointing of the Holy Spirit that breaks every yoke of bondage (Isaiah 10:27).

We believe that God still operates through a "five-fold" ministry design: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers (Ephesians 4:11).

We believe in signs, wonders, and miracles.

We believe this is all a part of the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ, but ultimately, the restoring of mankind back to the presence of our Creator and Heavenly Father should be the center of the message.

We believe that this gospel message of Jesus Christ is for every human being, no matter how "far gone", how evil and depraved, no matter how dark the heart of the person... Jesus Christ is able to reach and save anyone, and He does because He loves us all (John 3:16).
